All The Luxuries of Paradise Awaiting you. . .
The various lakes
throughout Plumas County, which include Bucks, Almanor, Davis,
and Frenchman's Reservoir, provide numerous activities such as
water-skiing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, wind-surfing, sailing and
fishing. Next to
fishing, golf is one of the favorite recreational pastimes with courses
set in the lush wooded forest land that the county is best known for. |
The Plumas National
Forest has more than a million acres and straddles the transition
zone between the Cascades and the Sierra Nevada. Where the Sierra
block disappears under the younger volcanic rock of the Cascades
on the forest's northern boundary near Lake Almanor, the transition
is not easy to perceive. |
 |
 |
The
forest incorporates the watershed of the Feather River, which has
carved many canyons and ravines full of cascades and whitewater.
The Middle Fork of the Feather River, which is designated as a
National Wild & Scenic River. |
During the fall in Plumas County the colors of fall come alive. Burnished
golds and sunlit yellows highlighted with brilliant reds and rich magentas,
set against the majestic greens of the mountains and the royal blue sky
qualifies the county as a must destination for every nature lover during
the late months.
This is a land rich with
history, a land of uncommon beauty. And the only thing better than
visiting this magical area is owning your own little piece. That's
what we're all about. We're Coldwell Banker - Pioneer Realty. |
